Our tribute to Sycamore Gap.

Northumberland lost an icon after the purpose felling of our beloved Sycamore Gap tree, located along Hadrian's Wall, in late summer 2023. It was a landmark which has been a place of joy, adventure and solace for so many over many years. It was an incredibly sad day for our county.

We wanted to do what we felt kept the name living on with our own work and deep-rooted passion for Northumberland's wild lands. With the upcoming release of a new British-made jumper just in time for Christmas, it felt wrong to not tribute it to our lost hero. It was originally named a different, special spot in Northumberland, but we'll save that for our next jumper!

We are devastated to see the empty gap on our favourite stretch of Hadrian's Wall, if you're familiar with our story, you'll know the special spot is only 10 minutes from our doorstep. It was a walk I have done so many times through my life.

The infamous and adored tree which inspired our very own name might not be standing anymore, but the solidarity in the show of sadness, anger and upset shown for weeks after the news broke, prove its legacy has inspired many. We hope our own way of commemorating the tree and the area helps keep the magic alive, honouring it's legacy and nurturing the special moments that have happened there and hoping for more in the future.

We are excited to be releasing our new 'Sycamore Gap' knit soon. Join our mailing list or follow us on social media for updates and sneak peaks.
